At Aprios, we prioritize delivering products that not only meet but exceed our customers' expectations. Our quality control (QC) plans are designed with flexibility and precision, addressing each product’s unique needs while minimizing risk and ensuring long-term performance. Here's a closer look at how we ensure top-notch quality in every stage of production.
We understand that each project has its own set of challenges and requirements. That's why we tailor our QC plans to your specific needs, taking into account the volume of production, product characteristics, and potential process risks. Whether you're working with a high-volume production run or a more intricate, low-volume project, our QC plans are designed to ensure the best possible outcome.
For every tooling revision, we include a delta FAIR, which focuses on the critical dimensions of the first article produced. The delta FAIR compares the initial part to the design specifications, ensuring that every feature meets the intended tolerance levels. This step is integral to confirming that the tooling modifications haven’t introduced any unintended issues and that the product is ready for full-scale production.
We conduct dimensional inspections at critical points during the production process to ensure that the product consistently meets the specified requirements:
At Job Startup: Every new job is subjected to an initial dimensional inspection to verify that the first produced parts meet the specifications.
Every 4 Hours During Production: Regular inspections every four hours during production help us monitor consistency and detect any potential deviations before they impact quality.
For Short Runs or Low-Volume Jobs: For runs under four hours or jobs that require low-volume production, we inspect a minimum of 3 parts per cavity to ensure high precision even in smaller batches.
For full-scale production, we perform a comprehensive first article inspection to confirm that the initial batch of parts meets all dimensional and functional requirements:
3-Piece Full FAIR Per Cavity: A complete FAIR is conducted on a set of three parts from each cavity to check for dimensional accuracy and feature consistency.
Up to 25 Features Inspected: We inspect up to 25 critical features to ensure the part performs as expected in its final application.
Every part print is carefully evaluated during the quoting process. This evaluation allows us to identify any potential challenges or concerns early on, ensuring that our QC plan is fully aligned with your part's design and production specifications. This early-stage review is an important step in preventing issues down the line and streamlining the production process.
At Aprios, quality isn't just a goal—it's a built-in part of our process. Our comprehensive and tailored quality control plans ensure that your products are thoroughly inspected, accurately produced, and ready for use in the real world. With our commitment to precision and consistency at every step, you can trust that each part we manufacture meets the highest standards of quality.
